Critique

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for asking me to judge Japanese Chins at their show held on the 25th March 2017. I would also like to thank you the exhibitors for giving me the opportunity of judging your beautiful dogs and for taking my decisions in the manner in which it was given. On the whole, movement was a bit of an issue for some of the dogs, but especially the bitches. VD (1) 1 Bailey's Ponchinka Edward Bear At Aldoricka. A ten and a half year old black and white, a credit to his owners, showed in lovely coat and moved extremely well. Super head and eye. MPD (9, 1) 1 Schemel's Sharlarnas Mirage. Super black and white, masculine head and eye, good reach of neck, cobby body, very smart on the move. Best Puppy Dog (let himself down in the challenge for BPIB, which was such a shame). 2 Thomas' Javalcy Rock On Tommy. Extremely similar to one, just had to split hairs. 3 Wallhead's Sleepyhollow Lester At Merida. PD (9, 1) 1 Farmer's Sangria Pamojill Private Eye. Stylish young man, good level topline, handsome head, with nice eye, excellent coat and correct texture, moved well. 2 Farmer's Midorchi Motivation. Splitting hairs between one and two, this one had a better eye but overall shape of the first one made my decision, both very special babies. 3 Thomas' Corrinwood Funtime Frankie At Javalcy. JD (9) 1 Vincent's Yama Teddy Edward. Lovely shape with good coat and texture, mature head, well broken markings, good reach of neck moved well, overall a high quality boy. 2 Robinson's Suzme Uccellino De Imperium Auri At Midorchi. Another with a super overall shape, pleasing head and eye good topline. 3 Bonniroy's Yumi Aka Yama. PGD (14, 2) 1 Rhodes' Javalcy Bugsy Malone. Well coated, flowing in super condition, cobby body, very handsome, excellent on the move. 2 Godbehere's Tillashby Arubato. Both first and second are so alike, very handsome quality dog, moved with drive. 3 George's Sharlarna The Tempest At Amronchi. LD (14, 5) 1 Farmer's Sangria Riverdancer. A very stylish handsome boy. Coat in tip top condition and as always presented to perfection.  A masculine head on a good length of neck which makes him look elegant on the move, good spring of rib, level topline, well set tail. Moved superbly, just loved him and his quality, therefore my Dog Challenge Certificate and Best of Breed. 2 Godbehere's Charnell Kenji For Tillashby. Well presented and a pleasure all around with a fabulous temperament. 3 Blow & Allen's Wyncatch Take It Easy. Sp Red & White (2) 1 Vincent & Speight's Bonniroy Yumi At Yama. Red and white, nice head, good eye, presented to perfection. 2 Matches' Denis Goscinska Pryzstan At Fochai. Lovely head and eye, good neck, just wasn't as well presented as one. OD (10, 1) 1 Farmer's Ch Sangria Lord Of The Dance. Another quality exhibit from this kennel. Always presented to perfection. Beautiful shape, well matured head and neck, good level topline moved soundly - considered for top honours but just pipped by his kennel mate, hence Res Challenge Certificate today. 2 Jackson's Amantra Shoji. Lovely black and white handsome boy, super dark eye, good coat in excellent condition. 3 Flynn's Choya Kanayo Of Linjato. VB (3) 1 Pearce & Hann's Stepheter Wanna Shout For Rakuchin. Eight and a half years old black and white bitch, fabulous head and eye, level topline well set tail,never stopped showing, moved so soundly hence Best Veteran Bitch and Best Veteran in Breed. 2 Wallhead's Dekobras Gold Kard At Merida. Extremely pretty red and white, pretty head, nice level topline, good set of tail, moved and showed well. 3 Burden's Sangria Etian Of Sheonagh. MPB (12, 3) Lovely puppies in this class. 1 Thomas' Corrinwood Colour My World At Javalcy. A very well developed baby, lovely head with good reach of neck good spring of rib, level topline, covered the ground well. 2 Smith's Wyndcatch Constance. Super little girl who did everything that she should, very pretty with good eye, level topline with well set tail carried well. 3 Banks' Damheadbrigg Kimiko Of Choya. PB (3) 1 Pearce & Hann's Rakuchin Ring Rumour Very pretty little bitch with super shape, dark eye, lovely reach of neck, good overall shape. 2 Oatridge's Dalehouse Iponema. Very similar to one but just wouldof liked a little more neck, good spring of rib and covered the ground well. 3 Pearson's Ereste Naughty But Nice. JB (8, 1) 1 Leach's Ouzlewell's Aya. Very pretty dark eye, super reach of neck cobby, lovely lay of shoulder, just changing coat. 2 O'Herlihy's Axelwood Sensu. A real showgirl who never stopped wagging her tail. Lovely dark eye,  really square, good ribcage. 3 Day's Godheim Oklahoma At Dorcharday. PGB (9) 1 Blow & Allen's Wyndcatch Take It Easy. Cobby, good head and dark eye, lovely reach of neck, good ribcage, moved well presented to perfection. 2 Farmer's Sangria Faberge. Another super bitch from this kennel, prettiest of heads with lovely topline, well set tail, showed and moved well. 3 Wolfenden's Bechinka Mozo. LB (7, 2) 1 Banks' Choya Charlotte. A beautiful strong bitch, lovely square shape, pretty head and eye, level toppling, well set on tail carried well over her back, presented and shown to perfection, totally my type and therefore Bitch Challenge Certificate. 2 Crane's Sleepyhollow Mary Poppins. So very similar to one, square, pretty good topline and tail carriage. Just preferred eyes of one but could easily change places at any time and my Reserve Bitch Challenge Certificate. 3 Pearce & Hann's Yama Moonlight Over Rakuchin. OB (5) 1 Robinson's Midorchi Make Believe. Very pretty bitch, covered the ground soundly, good coat, nice rib well set tail. Super rear angulation, hence the drive on the moved. 2 Crane's Ch Sidlyn Wind Of Change With Cranvarl. Pretty, dark eye, nice topline but wasn't as free in movement as first. 3 Flynn's Linjato Amaya.
