Judging Criteria 

A1 List

For judges who have previously been approved by the Kennel Club to award CCs in the breed and have completed their first appointment.  To have the support of the Japanese Chin Club

 APPROVED JUDGES LIST 

A3 LIST (Breed Specialists)

 

1, Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years judging experience in the breed and have the support of The Japanese Chin Club.

2, To have preferably judged 1 Breed Club Show or 2 breed club supported entry shows.

3, To have judged the breed at a minimum of 8 Open Shows or Championship Shows without CC’s with an adequate geographical spread.

4, To have judged a minimum of 30 classes in this breed.

5, To have judged a minimum of 95 dogs in this breed.

6, To have attended a seminar given by Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the relevant examination on Kennel Club regulations and judging procedures.

7, To have attended a seminar given by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer on Confirmation and Movement.

8, To have attended a Confirmation and Movement ‘Hands on’ Assessment conducted by a Kennel Club Accredited Trainer and passed the assessment with the Relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

9, To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the Relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

10, To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs when they obtained their first entry in The Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances)

11, To have stewarded over a minimum of 12 days at shows 

 APPROVED JUDGES LIST 

A3 LIST (Non-Breed Specialists)

 

 1, Candidates should have a minimum of  7 years judging experience in any one breed (To include 5 years in Japanese Chins) and have the support of The Japanese Chin Club.

2, To have preferably judged 1 breed club show or 2 breed club supported entry shows.

3, To have judged the breed at 8 open shows or championship shows without CC’s with an adequate geographical spread.

4, To have judged a minimum of 30 classes of this breed.

5, To have judged a minimum of 95 dogs of this breed.

6, To have awarded CC’s in at least one other breed.

7, To have attended at least one breed specific judging seminar run in accordance with the Relevant Kennel Club Code of Best Practice and passed an examination and/or assessment where applicable.

8, To have bred and/or owned a minimum of 3 dogs of any breed when they obtained their first entry in the Kennel Club Stud Book (Save in exceptional circumstances)

B LIST (Breed Specialists)

 1,To have 5 years owning and exhibiting this breed have the support of the Japanese Chin Club.

2, To have judged 10 classes in the breed at Open Shows Championship Shows without CC’s.  

3,To have judged at least 30 dogs of this breed (hands on).

4, To have attended a seminar relative to this breed.

 APPROVED JUDGES LIST 

“B” LIST (Non-Breed Specialists)

 

1, To have 5 years judging experience of any one breed have the support of the Japanese Chin Club.

2, To have judged 10 classes of this breed at Open Shows Championship Shows without CC’s.  

3, To have judged at least 35 dogs of this breed (hands on).

4, To have attended a seminar relative to this breed.

APPROVED JUDGES LIST 

“C” LIST

 For aspirant judges of Japanese Chins who have displayed a distinct interest in the breed and who have preferably judged the breed but as of yet have not met the criteria for any of the above mentioned lists and have the support of the Japanese Chin Club
