Critique

Thank you to the LKA for their kind invitation to judge at their show and to the exhibitors for giving me such a quality entry, thanks also to my stewards who kept the ring moving smoothly

 MPD (1) Oatridge’s Dalehouse Quintessential. Lovely baby, nice size and good coat for his age, short cobby body, level topline with good tight tail.  Pretty head with good cushioning and dark eyes, good ear set.  Moved and showed well, one to watch for the future.

 PD (4-2) 1 Rooney & Green’s Jaschin Hold That Thought.  Quality puppy, good head shape with round dark eyes showing correct amount of white to give the require look of astonishment.  He stands nice and square with good straight front and has a level topline, good tail set.  Moved and showed with confidence.  BPIB.  2 Farmer’s Sangria Rocketman (NAF).  A little overawed by the day but a lovely puppy full of promise who will do well when he grows in confidence.  Good short body, well laid shoulders and good rear angulation.  Pretty head with attractive expression, lovely dark well placed eyes and well cushioned muzzle.

 JD (2) 1 Thomas’ Threadgold Dan Dare At Javalcy.  Attractive head.  Well-constructed boy, correct size, square and cobby with good depth of chest, straight forelegs and a good turn of stifle.  Moved and showed well.  Shown in lovely condition.  2 Davidson’s Sharlana Gigolo.  Dainty dog, stands nice and square, level topline with good tail set. Good shaped head, good nose placement and open nostrils. Moved ok.

 PGD (7-2) 1 Flynn’s Sharlana Evolution At Linjato. Lovely size, presented in immaculate condition.  His body is cobby with good spring of rib and depth to chest.  He has a lovely shaped head and typical expression, dark eyes and good pigment with short well cushioned muzzle.  He moved elegantly round the ring maintaining a level topline and good tail carriage. RCC.  2 Schemel’s Bentwood Candide.  Another dog of lovely breed type, good shape and balance, deep chest and strong straight front legs.  Attractive head with broad skull, good dark eyes and well-placed nose with open nostrils. Moved well. 3 Ratter’s Anjuli Tank Commander At Seafar.

 LD (7-2) 1 Cayton’s Sharlana Imperial Comanda.  Most attractive sable with good rounded skull, well placed dark eyes, well set ears and good open nostrils.  He is well balanced with good rib-cage and level topline both standing and on the move.  2 Martin’s Sharlana Trouble Maker.  Lovely type, beautiful presentation.  Good expression with round dark eyes showing correct amount of white in corners, moderately broad skull, good cushioning to muzzle and open nostrils with good pigment.  He has a lovely profile both standing and on the move.  3 Farmer’s Salvador Dali By Sangria.

 OD (7) 1 Hampton, Vine & Strange’s Sleepyhollow Love Me Sibbai.  I have admired this dog from the ringside and was so pleased to be able to have the opportunity to judge him.  He is a lovely size and well balanced, short and cobby with a good spring of rib, moderate neck leading to well placed shoulders and straight front legs, good width of chest, good turn of stifle.  He has a very attractive head, dark round eyes with just the correct amount of white in the corners, well set nose with open nostrils and a well cushioned muzzle. He is a joy to watch on the move, very well presented and handled.  CC and BOB.  2 Farmer’s CH Sangria Moonwalk.  Another quality dog who is full of breed type.  Most appealing head and expression, nice dark eyes, rounded skull, well cushioned muzzle and wide under jaw.  Good for size, moderate length of neck, good straight front, level topline.  Presents a good profile both standing and on the move.  3 Davidson’s Stepheter Constant Contact.  

VD (1) 1 Mcfarlane’s Myojo Morgan shcm.  Square and compact with good spring of rib, wide chest, level topline.  Well balanced head. Moved and showed well. BV.

MPB (3) 1 Burns’ Yakedo Irises.  Well-made puppy with good rib-cage, moderate length of neck and nice short back, level topline, good straight front legs and nice angulation at rear.  Pretty feminine head with good turn up to well cushioned muzzle.  Moved and showed well.  2 Calvert’s Somergemz Balenciaga.  Pretty sable, looking quite immature compared to the rest of the class but lots to like about her, most appealing head and expression, good pigment.  Square with a level topline and good tail set.  She moved well both ways.  3 Robins’ Yakedo Starry Night At Jaroma.

PB (3-1) 1 Farmer’s Sangria Moon Dance NAF.  Liked this puppy very much.  Attractive head, well cushioned muzzle with expressive dark eyes.  Dainty with lovely reach of neck, short level back, fine bone and good tail set. Moved and showed to advantage.  2 Lindsay’s Jaschin Who’d Have Thought at Anjuli.  Lovely red/white puppy.  Compact and short with level topline.  Gentle head with a well-shaped skull, dark eyes and good cushioning to muzzle providing an attractive expression.  Moved soundly both ways.

JB (6-2) 1 Quinn’s Sharlana Eye Candy.  Lovely type, small, square and compact, well balanced throughout and excellent mover.  Lovely head shape, good ear set and nose placement with open nostrils, lovely dark eyes providing the look of astonishment and well cushioned muzzle.  Showed herself to advantage. RCC.  2 Steele’s Threadgold Starstruck JW.  Smart bitch of good size and shape, she has moderate length of neck and good wide chest.   Pleasing head and expression.  Presented a good profile both standing and on the move.  3 Bradley’s Sharlana Vivacious.

PGB (5-2) 1 Tong & Crane’s Cranvarl Maude.  Pretty red/white with a lovely head and expression, dark eyes with good turn-up to cushioned muzzle.  Good size, short compact body with nice straight forelegs and good width to chest.  Coat in good condition.  Moved stylishly round the ring.  2 Cushing’s  Omikudzi Florentina at Spiritisle.  Pleasing bitch with a good well balanced body, good straight front and good angulation to rear, level topline.  Feminine head with rounded skull, well set ears and nicely placed dark eyes.  Moved and showed well.  3 Matches’ I’m Melody Goscinska Przystan AT Fochai CJW11.

LB (4-1) 1 Crane’s Macey Grey JW.  Feminine red/white with good head and expression and large dark eyes.  Short and compact in body she stands nice and square.  Looks good in profile both standing and on the move, good coat and condition, happy temperament.  2 Cushing’s Ennistar’s Niagara At Spiritisle.  Red/white with a good mature body, wide chest and good spring of rib, short back with level topline.  Nicely rounded skull, dark eyes and good pigment.  Moved and showed well.  Lindley’s Ouzlewell’s Arabella.

OB (5-1) 1 Quinn’s Ch Harlouville Uptown Girl JW.  Ultra-feminine bitch, such a good type with the most attractive head and expression, dark eyes, good nose placement, well feathered ears and good cushioning to muzzle with wide under jaw.  She is so balanced and compact moving effortlessly round the ring, a joy to watch. BCC.  2 Rooney & Green’s Ch Jaschin First Edition.  Another outstanding bitch with much of the same attributes as the class winner, she is very regal and elegant and presents a super profile.  Two outstanding bitches heading a very good class.  3 Rooney & Green’s Jaschin Paws For Applause.
