PD (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: Rooney & Green’s Jaschin Paw Star. Real young showman. His head is still to finish; lovely eyes, wide open nostrils and well set ears. He is very dainty and finely boned. Holds a secure topline; great set tail set. Maturity will aid body proportions. Correct textured coat. He really comes into his own on the move, his footfall is light, purposeful and accurate.

JD (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Rooney & Green’s Jaschin Working Man I Am. 16 months. Smart young dog. Open face with a good finish and contains dark large eyes not overdone aiding typical expression. Nicely assembled forequarters being of fine bone but void of weakness. Well sprung ribs. Secure topline and body relatively square. Good for coat and presented in lovely condition.Moved very well.

2nd: Pearce & Hann’s Somergemz Tanjobi Rakuchin. 13 months and appeared to be giving a lot away in respect to maturity. Well presented. His head is balanced giving typical expression. Moved with style but to strengthen behind. He has an excellent forehand reach. Well bodied; secure topline and high set tail.

3rd: Oatridge, Grogan & Irvine’s Dalehouse Royal Sceptre

PGD (5 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Tong’s Cranvarl The Red King Of Jakconas. 20 months. R/W. My judging book notes read ‘Square and Compact – Quite lovely’. Presented in excellent coat being of a lovely colour. Presented in wonderful condition he looked a picture in profile. Correct neck and shoulders; body is well ribbed with short loins. Appealing head having short, wide muzzle with large dark eyes and good pigmentation. His front assembly is neat and of adequate bone. Holds his tail well. Moved effortlessly. He is of champion quality and a strong contender in the very competitive challenge.

2nd: Kannagara’s Sangria Ps I Love You. 20 months. Correct head and skull; dark appealing eyes. Well cushioned muzzle. He is very dainty but nicely put together having adequate width of chest and well ribbed. Correct tail set. Moved well. Unfortunately, he was completely out of coat.

3rd: Speight’s Bonniroy Yoshiki Aka.

A good class

1st: Reeves-Sargant & Diment’s, Alstella Eadweard. 20 months. As the standard states the body should be – Square, compactly built, wide chest ‘cobby’. This young dog beautifully illustrates this and in addition, he is ‘smart and compact’- not elongated as so frequently seen these days. He is masculine with a touch of elegance, his head is typical with adequate muzzle and cushioning along with expressive eyes. Good reach to neck, well sprung ribs and short loins. Steady, sound, economic mover. There is clearly more to come but notwithstanding, in a strong Challenge, he could not be denied the RCC.

2nd: Farmer’s Salvador Dali By Sangria. A mature 4 year old. Scores in head qualities having a well-proportioned skull containing large dark round eyes, cushioned muzzle and neat finish. He examines well. Sound and accurate on the move. His coat is of good texture. Tail is well set and profusely covered. Proud smart mover. Close call.

3rd: Quinn’s Sharlarna Swindler JW.

OD (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Farmer’s Sangria De Ja Vous. 6 years old and the more I saw of him the more I liked. He really scores in head qualities, with that endearing expression from large dark round eyes with a touch of white giving the desired expression. Forequarters are correctly proportioned; hare shaped feet. Good for spring of rib and short loins. Holds a secure topline when moving all adding to the attraction. In this class, his precise movement definitely influenced. Tail is set high and carried correctly. I felt his correct leg length aided his balanced outline. His coat is profuse but not overdone and presented in super condition. In the challenge, he moved up a gear and therefore delighted to award him the CC (his second I was told).

2nd: Blair’s Sharlarna's Chaos At Bellflows. 3 years and completely new to me. First impression portrays that this dog is so beautifully balanced and his outline is absolutely text book. Decidedly square, he scores in overall size. Compact in body. Presented in super coat and condition. Although quite different in type to the class winner he has many virtues to admire. I preferred the finish of muzzle of 1. Close call in this class and was a serious contender for the RCC.

3rd: Thompson’s Rossyn Magical Fantasy For Culverwood.

VD (1 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Burden’s Sangria War Lord. 8 years and my notes made especial mention of the wonderful condition in which this Veteran was presented. He really is a credit to his owners. Appealing head with a masculine expression. Dark, round eyes; open nostrils and wide cushioned muzzle. Well set neck and lay of shoulders. Well bodied. Steady accurate mover. Correctly textured coat.

PB (6 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: Oatridge, Grogan & Irvine’s Dalehouse Royal Secret. Now 10 months, this enchanting young lady is something quite special. I first saw her from the ringside when winning RBIS at the UK Toy Dog Championship Show, aged 6 months. She is an exemplary showgirl, elegant and so very typical and I guess that she knows it! Ultra-feminine and beautifully balanced throughout. Her head is textbook, containing large dark eyes with a touch of white as required. Padded muzzle to finish and dark pigmentation to enhance. Fine strong bone; typical hare shaped feet. Well bodied for her size and holds a spirit level topline. High set tail with profuse feathering. Completely at one and attentive to her handler. Considering the cheer afforded from the ringside, she clearly was a popular choice for CC & BOB, BPIB and later shortlisted in a very strong Toy Group.

2nd: Steele’s Jantarowa Chata At Threadgold (Imp Pol). R/W 8 months. Feminine and looked decidedly balanced when standing. Attractive eyes, well set ears and moderate neck. Square, compact body. Stylish mover when settled. Unlucky to meet 1.

3rd: Crane’s Cranvarl Eliza Doolittle.

JB (2 Entries) Abs: 1

1st: Cushing’s Spiritisle Queen Of Hearts. R/W. 9 months. Pretty head with dark eyes giving correct expression. Liked her ribcage and depth of chest but a tad long in loin. Moved soundly with good drive from correct turn of stifles. Held her topline well along with her correctly set tail. Presented in good condition.

PGB (3 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Lindley’s Sharlarna Conchita For Meglind. 2 years R/W. There is a lot to like here, particularly her head shape, eyes and overall expression portrayed. Good for cushioning and finish. Well set profusely feathered ears frame the picture. Correct length of neck. Cobby body. Profuse silky coat presented in first class condition. Sound, honest mover.

2nd: Speight’s Bonniroy Yanagi. 20 months. B/W. Pity she had taken a fright. I liked her head qualities and expression. Cobby body and level topline. Neat, straight front. Upon examination I found her well put together. Moved accurately but without confidence. Silky coat, well presented.

LB (6 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Tong & Crane’s Cranvarl Maude. R/W 3 years. Glamorous, feminine and as pretty as a picture. She was sporting a beautiful coat of excellent texture, presented in immaculate condition. Well-proportioned head and skull containing captivating eyes, large open nostrils, short well cushioned muzzle and framed by profusely feathered ears. Correct moderate length of neck. Good for chest and short cobby body. Well angulated hindquarters aided accurate movement. Recently has gained her title and was a strong contender in the Challenge.

2nd: Steele’s Threadgold Starstruck JW. 2 years. Honest and straightforward she is of correct size. Head contains a well cushioned muzzle, attractive eyes and a neat finish. Good for neck. Well bodied with good breadth of chest, slender hare feet with good feathering. A touch longer in loin. Moved soundly.

3rd: Calvert’s Somergemz Balenciaga.

OB (6 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Quinn’s Ch Sharlarna Eye Candy JW. 2 years. Attractive head with lovely dark eyes giving typical expression. Wide short muzzle, well cushioned. Balanced reach of neck. Nicely positioned ears, well feathered. Impressive compact body with ample ribbing and secure backline. Tail carried correctly. Impressive rear angulations with moderate turn of stifle. She moved OK in front as she tended to pull away from the lead coming towards me. Coat of excellent silky texture. Overall she was presented in exemplary fashion. A worthy champion. In a hotly contested Challenge I awarded her the RCC.

2nd: Cushing’s Ennistar's Niagara At Spiritisle. Balanced in profile, this 5 year old B/W lady was new to me and clearly a lot to like. Presented in full coat she produces a pleasing outline. Well-built throughout but not overdone. Secure level backline. I thought her head was balanced, contained expressive eyes finished by a short wide padded muzzle producing a lovely expression.

3rd: Rooney & Green’s Ch Jaschin Paws For Applause.

VB (2 Entries) Abs: 0

1st: Rooney & Green’s Ch Swifthocks Paws For Thought JW. 7 years. A beautifully balanced feminine lady still very much a showgirl. Her skull is balanced, contains beautiful eyes, well placed nose and neatly finished muzzle. Forequarters are straight and of balanced bone. Neck is well placed and of moderate length. Typical hare shaped feet. Body is cobby with good depth of chest. Moved OK. Best Veteran.

2nd: White’s Palteemoor Princess Kasumi At Nihonqin. 7 years. I admired her head qualities and especially her muzzle and appealing eyes. Clearly not very happy today and stood with her tail down. She moved OK.
