I would just like to start by saying thank you to the society for giving me my first CC appointment in Japanese Chin and to my fabulous stewards for keeping the ring running so efficiently. Although this was my first Chin appointment I am not new to awarding CC’s and Social Media intimidation either before or after judging will make no difference whatsoever to how I place dogs presented to me on the day. I may not be able to please everyone but I will please myself and continue to judge without fear or favour in accordance with the breed standard as I see them on the day. Bullying and intimidation will never win.

1st Burns’ Seafar Seto

Promising 6 months old B/W baby, Lovely size and shape, coat where you would expect for his age, he has a pleasing head with, nice eye showing correct look of astonishment, well placed ears. Held his good topline. If he continues to develop along these lines should have a bright future 

2nd White’s Palteemoor Prince Mitsuo

7mth old b/w looking quite rangy today and obviously not enjoying his day, okay head with nice eyes,

1st Rooney& Green’s Little Tigers Innuendo with Jaschin.

Mature 10mth B/W a real quality puppy with lovely head and expression, small neat ears well placed and carried, excellent neck and shoulder placement, topline rock solid and held on the move. Well marked coat of excellent texture coming in, moved soundly in all directions with good front lift should have a bright future my BP delighted to see him take 3rd in puppy group, congratulations.

2.nd  Pearson’s Ereste Shogun Warrior

9mth R/W shown in lovely condition, good head and expression, moved nicely just needs to gain a little more confidence to enjoy his showing and will give his owners a lot of fun in the ring.

1st Thomas’s Javalcy The Great Mikado

Mature well coated B/W, lovely size, nice head with lovely expression, well placed ears, good neck and shoulder, strong but fined boned moved out well with the correct front lift considered for RCC

2nd Farugia’s Yama Ghost Rider With Cholas

Smaller and daintier R/W one of a number who were not at one with the venue today, the tanoy in this hall does have a lot to answer for, time is on his side.

3rd Partington-Palmer’s Littletigers Freak On A Leash (IMP IT)

Complete unknown to me B/W, heavy marked but loved his size and shape perhaps a little larger than my ideal but elegant and fine boned with a very pleasing head and expression so sound and positive on the move, when it came to the challenge seemed to have lost interest. Shame.

2nd Burns & Black’s Yama Take A Chance

Close up and similar remarks apply just preferred 1s movement on the day.

3rd Tarabad’s Tillashby's Nick Is In A Twist At Frondil JW

1st Tong’s  Sleepyhollow Rheingold

My notes say Wow, have seen this sable boy from ringside but not really paid him much attention he is a delight to go over everything is in the right place, his sable colouring is very much correct, good size with fine strong bone, lovely gentle head with excellent eyes giving correct expression, good neck and well placed shoulders, firm strong topline held on the move had to settle for the RCC today but will surely have his day.

2nd Vincent’s Yama Teddy Edward JW

B/W boy so close up to 1 really like him but just felt 1 had more look at me about him today another who will surely go on.

1st Pearce & Hann’s Rakuchin Ch Kenji Na

Not a lot I can say about this B/W boy that has not been said a very worthy CH, loved his size and shape. Shown in wonderful condition, coat of excellent texture and plenty of it, fine strong bone, level topline held on the move, typical head with correct expression had to pull out all the stops to beat the Limit dog but he did it pleased to award him CC and BOB

2nd Young’s CH Sharlarna's Magician

Another very worthy B/W Ch smaller than 1 lots to like about him but have seen him perform so much better than today.

Very raw 6mth R/W baby enjoying her day and showing early promise, nice size and shape with pleasing head and eye, good colour at this stage movement a little eratic.

2nd White’s Palteemoor Princess Megumi At Nihonqin

B/W built on larger lines, very unhappy with the venue hopefully time will give her more confidence

B/W almost 12mths, sweetest of heads with lovely eyes giving correct expression, nice size with excellent coat coming in should have a very promising future my BPB and pushed the dog very hard for BP

2nd Lindsay’s Littletigers I Send With Love To Sleepyhollow (IMP ITA)

Another very promising B/W who I am sure will change places with 1 on another day, very pretty head with nice eyes. Good make and shape very feminine

1st Brown-Percival’s Littletigers Grace By Sandiman (IMP ITA)

12mth B/W caught my eye as she entered the ring and from there on in did everything she could to keep it, correct size, prettiest of heads with good eyes and ear set, excellent neck and shoulders giving way to rock solid topline held at all times, shown in wonderful conditions. Fine but strong bone moved with real purpose, could not stand wrong pulled out all the stops in the challenge to gain the CC will watch her career with interest could have taken her home. Had to give way to the more mature Ch male for BOB but pushed him all the way. I note she is by the same dog as my BP winner and from the same kennel, a winning combination.

2nd Farrugia’s Cholas Lucy Locket

Another young lady who seemed rather unhappy with the venue, nice size and shape with a pleasing head.

Lovey B/W of nice size and shape, pleasing head with excellent eye shown in tip top condition moved soundly in all directions considered for the RCC another who will surely have her day.

1st Pearce & Hann’s Rakuchin Well Hello

Difficult class to judge 1 & 2 are completely different types and there was likes and dislikes with both of them, on the day 1 was more what I was looking for a feminine bitch of nice size and shape would have liked a firmer topline.

2nd Burns’ Sleepyhollow Calamity Jane

More my type of bitch but on the day was carrying way too much weight making her look stuffy all through however with weight off could be a different story.

3rd Flynn’s Linjato Mimiko

I don’t usually comment on 3rd place but it was my biggest disappointment of the day as I’m sure it was the owners, she so did not like the venue and despite the handlers best efforts was having none of it.

Well known Ch B/W who deserves everything she has done, lovely type excellent make and shape with wonderful head and eye, so exuberant moves with style and correct lift , everything to like about her out of coat today and had to give way to the precocious youngster and settle for the RCC a bitch out of the top drawer.

Nice type in full bloom you would never think she was a veteran although stood alone well deserved her win could show some of the younger bitches a thing or two.
