When I last judged this breed, which I have always liked, I wasn’t sure I ever wanted to judge them again. Nothing to do with the breed itself but I found the exhibitors extremely unsporting. What a difference this appointment was with applause for very class, and a lovely atmosphere around the ring. It was nice to see overseas exhibitors back again and most of my major  winners came from abroad, these exhibits had that extra bit of style and elegance that this breed should always have. The main fault I found on the day was short legs, you do not get a compact shape by having short legs. My thanks to my two stewards who had being working all 4 days with the ipad as well as regular stewarding, but were still bright and chatty which is always a bonus to a judge I think.  I was very pleased to see the BOB shortlisted in the group a bonus for the breed. 

VD (4) 1 Burden’s Sangria War Lord. B&W Good shape and size with proportionately large head, large nose, open nostrils and wide muzzle, level jaw, giving that typical expression. Small well set on ears well feathered. Cobby body without being cloddy good front in coat of correct silky texture. Sound mover with good reach.  2 McFarlane Myojo Morgan At Glendyke B&W Well balanced, cobby body in good straight coat of silky texture. Head of good shape and size but would have liked a bit more width of jaw. Moved a little wide in front but kept his smart outline. 3  Doran Shardlow Mikado With Osakazuki 

PD (3) 1 Rooney, Green & Green Jaschin Hold Thtat Thought B&W very smart well balanced with an elegant look even for one so young. Large well-balanced head with open nostrils, short muzzle with plenty of cushioning. Large dark eyes full of expression, small high set ears all giving that typical expression. Straight front with fine bone but not weedy, hare feet. Wide chest, good turn of stifle, high tailset. All of this covered in a profuse coat of correct silky texture. Free straight mover with good carriage. Best Puppy. 2  Day’s Sharlana Shap B&W Not really compact as still needs to couple up to give that smart well balanced appearance. As still a puppy has a bit of growing up to do to get his movement true and body all of a piece. 

JD (3,) 1 Dalkilinc & Gaisinsky Delis Sakura Ila Nisan Solaris Very stylish with good carriage throughout. Well balanced body although still needs to fill out in chest. Large head with well placed dark eyes, good ear carriage and plenty of cushioning around lips. Level back high tailset, good turn of stifle, sound free mover. 2  Thomas Threadgold Dan Dare At Javalcy Good cobby body with level back, short loin good width of chest. Well balanced head with dark eyes large open nostrils with excellent pigment and high set ears. Could be a bit longer in neck to give that proud carriage. Sound straight movement. 3 Farmer Sangria Rocket Men 

YD (5) 1  Lindsay Ch Cranvari Roger At Anjuli R&W Very elegant but with a hint of mischief in expression. Large broad skull, nicely rounded with large nose, open nostrils good pigment, short muzzle well cushioned. Straight front with adequate bone, hare feet, good shoulders, wide chest and level back. High tailset well feathered in coat of correct texture as was body coat. LD (8) 1 Martin’s Sharlana Trouble Maker B&W Compact, cobby, well balanced with elegant appearance. Well-rounded broad skull, large nose and nostrils, good pigment. Expressive dark eyes, good earset. Straight front with correct bone, good shoulders, level back and high tailset. Good texture of coat well presented. Moved well with style. 2  Cayton Sharlana Imperial Comanda R&W Not the head shape of winner and on the day was a bit unsettled on the move. Balanced body with straight front, good feet, good wide of chest level back, high tailset, firm hindquarters. In good coat of correct texture. 3 Farmer’s Salvador Dali By Sangria 

OD (10) 1  Lindsay’s Ch Anjuli Trevor B&W Very eye catching, well balanced, aristocratic male in profuse coat who never stopped showing. Large head with broad skull, large black nose with lovely open nostrils, short well cushioned muzzle with width, level jaw. Large dark eyes with that typical look of astonishment facing well forward. Small high set ears with plenty of feathering. The whole head carried proudly on correct length of neck which adds to the elegant look. Straight fine boned front with good shoulder placement, hare feet, good width of chest, level back leading to short loin and strong rear with good turn of stifle. High tailset, well feathered, moved freely with style, the whole package finished in profuse coat of long, soft silky texture. DCC & BOB delighted to see him short listed in the Group. 2  Devochkin’s Isr Ch/Int Ch Delis Sakuri Ila Samurai Dancing Sword B&W Slightly finer build than winner but very elegant and stylish with large well cushioned head, short wide muzzle, large nose with open nostrils. Very expressive dark eyes, good earset. Straight front with correct bone, hare feet, good shoulders, level back. Straight well feathered thighs with good stifles, high tailset. MPB (1) 1 Pearson’s Ereste Wild Child R&W gave this little bitch the benefit of the doubt as she was really not ready for championship showing, but obviously she had qualified somewhere. At the moment she is not balanced being too long in back, better to stay at home until she hopefully matures.  

PB (4) 1  Burns Yakedo Irises B&W promising, already well balanced with straight front, good shoulders, enough width of chest for age, level back and good turn of stifles. Good size of head with cushioning, good mouth, dark expressive eyes. Coat of good texture for age with plenty of feathering. 2 Linsday’s Jaschin Who’d Have Thought At Anjuli R&W Not in her best coat but made up for it with a lively temperament and sweet expression. Balanced head with enough cushioning for age. Good body shape, level back moved a bit close behind.  3 Calvert’s Somergemz Balenciago 

JB (6) 1  Curwood’s Omagaville Cover Girl B&W Well balanced with good width of chest, level back, correct feet well feathered at toes. Large head, good cushioning, small high set ears, dark eyes. Sound free mover with style.  2 Steele’s Threadgold Starstruck B&W not in her best coat today and with a slightly longer back than compact made her look slightly unbalanced. She has a good head with dark expressive eyes, good cushioning and carried it well on correct length of neck. 3  Farmer’s Sangria Moon Dance 

YB (6) 1 Tong & Crane’s Cranvari Maude R&W Very lively temperament with good head shape, plenty of expression and cushioning. Balanced body would like a little more width of chest but sound throughout.  2  Farmer’s Sharlana Trinity B&W Not in her best coat today but what a lovely head and expression, dark expressive eyes, good earset. Would like a bit shorter loin to give that compact shape. 3 Benton-Taylor’s Sansarc Buffalo Girl 

PGB (8) 1  Calvert’s Jaschin Fendi With Somergemz B&W Another not in her best coat today but nothing to hide, well balanced with good front, level back, high tailset, good turn of stifles. Good head with plenty of cushioning and dark expressive eyes, well set on ears. Sound stylish mover. 2  Crane’s Anjuli Margo For Cranvari B&W very compact with firm solid body, good front, level back. Large head with well placed features, good cushioning.  3 Gaisinsky Harizma Viva Victoria

2 Lindsay’s Anjuli Agatha Of Choya B&W Not quite the style of winner on the move but carried her head well with good expression. Straight front with correct bone and hare feet with enough feathering. Level back, correct texture coat.  3  Young’s Craimose Touch Of Class 

OB (9) 1  Leferink Int Ch/Dutch/Bel Ch Perfect Star Of The Special Lobo B&W Very eye catching as so very well balanced in head and body. Well cushioned head, dark expressive eyes, good mouth, all carried proudly on correct length of neck. Straight front, good shoulders, level back, short loin, good turn of stifles, high tailset. Coat of correct length and texture, moved freely with style. BCC 2  Rooney& Green & Green Ch Jaschinfirst Edition B&W Many of the remarks of the winner applied to this bitch as she is solid, well balanced, good head and expression, sound mover.
