Thank you to SWKA for inviting me to judge, 20 years after they invited me to award my first set of CC’s in Japanese Chins. A numerically small entry but I was pleased with my line ups and winners.

Veteran Dog. (2)

1. Ch Rakuchin Kenji Na. Compact cobby 7 yr old B/W. Moving soundly, lovely head

and expression, good eyes, presented in full silky coat. Lovely front, good outline

standing and moving. A very nice boy. BV

2. Ellinghurst Dark Sorcerer. Pretty head with round dark eyes and good pigment, fine

bone. Nice size but needs to carry more weight as he is rather thin, not presented in

as good a coat as 1 and front movement was not as good, and he tended to drop his

tail.

Minor Puppy Dog (4,1 w/d)

1. Jaschin Hold That Thought. Lovely headed pup with excellent surprised eye giving a typical expression, good ear set and well cushioned muzzle. Moved well both ways,

lovely fine bone, good shape with well set on tail, coat coming.

2. Dalehouse Quintessential. Well bodied pup with good coat coming, nice straight

front, moved well holding a good outline and well set tail. His head for me still needs

to improve, I would prefer a better nose placement with more cushioning.

Post Graduate Dog (4, 1 abs)

1. Sharlarna Evolution at Linjato. My star of the day took my eye as soon as he entered the ring and I wasn’t disappointed. Just what I was looking for. Dog of beautiful size, presented in full silky coat. Typical head with excellent surprised expression, well cushioned muzzle, good ear set. Dark eyes and pigment. Crested neck, good straight front with fine bone and hare feet. Level topline moving and standing, well carried plumed tail, good ear fringing. Moved soundly around the ring. One I would like to take home. Pleased to award him his first CC & BOB. Pleased to hear he was shortlisted in the group.

2. Salvador Dali by Sangria. Dog of nice size, moved well both ways when he got going as he was a tad reluctant on the move. Good eyes, nose pad and pigment, good ear fringing. Straight front, fine bone, not quite as much coat as 1 and I preferred the finish of face of 1. But a promising young dog.

3. Cholas Yasu at Yama.

Limit Dog (3).

1. Sharlarna Imperial Comanda. Sable with a lovely body and rib, well presented in full

silky coat. Attractive head with good eyes and nose pad, albeit a touch heavy in the

muzzle for me. A sound moving dog that moved out well both ways and was shown

in lovely condition.

2. Kirdanchi Chisana Senshi. I preferred the type and size of this dog to 1. He has a

pleasing head with typical eyes and a well cushioned muzzle but he was not moving

as well as 1 and he is rather narrow through his chest which impedes his front

movement.

3. Choya Takahiro with Osakazuki.

Open Dog (5, 2 abs.)

1. Ch Sandria Moon Walk. B/W of nice size, moved soundly both ways. Typical head

with round dark eyes and good expression, good nose pad and pigment, well

cushioned muzzle. Fine bone, good feet, presented in full coat with a well set plumed

tail, well used ears of good length. I was happy to award the RCC.

2. Yama Ghost Rider with Cholas. Well bodied lemon/white with pleasing head and

round dark eyes. Well coated with good rib, nice front. Moved steadily with a good

outline.

3. Choya Takahiro with Osakazuki.

Minor Puppy Bitch (2)

1. Sangria Moon Dance. A promising pup that moved steadily and soundly around the

ring. She presented a nice outline standing and moving with a level topline. Pleasing

head with well cushioned muzzle, good nose placement and round surprised eyes

giving a typical expression.

2. Jaschin Thoughts That Count. Lovely pup of nice size and type. Lovely surprised

eyes, black pigment, well cushioned muzzle. Coat coming in well, lovely fine bone

but she was overawed in the ring. Very promising when she gets her confidence.

Puppy Bitch (3)

1. Sharlarna Eye Candy. Well presented 11 month old, full coat in lovely silky condition. Nice outline standing and moving, crested neck and level topline. Well set tail. Pleasing head with well cushioned muzzle, good eyes and pigment. Fine bone, good feet, moved out smartly both ways. RBCC & BP.

2. Threadgold Star Struck JW. bitch with a lovely head, eye and expression. Presented

in good condition with fine bone, heald a good outline moving around. Not the finish

of 1 in coat and 1 was moving better in front today.

Post Graduate bitch(1)

1. Yama Whisper. Bitch of nice type size and shape. Well made, nice to go over on the

table. Fine bone, hare feet, went well both ways. A pretty girl with a pleasing head,

black eyes, good pigment and a lovely expression.

Limit bitch (5).

1. Sleepyhollow Peace Flower at Dalehouse. She caught my eye on entering the ring. A lovely outline with a short level back, fine bone, good straight front. Typical head with lovely dark eyes giving correct surprised expression, black pigment, well cushioned muzzle and well set ears. Moved soundly with a good coat coming, well set plumed tail and well carried head. A lovely girl, pleased to award her the BCC.

2. Jaschin Paws for Applause. Nice shaped bitch with a pleasing head, good eyes, nice earset. Moved soundly both ways, fine bone, coat coming in. But she was rather

distracted today and a touch unsettled.

3. Sleepyhollow Cover Girl for Kirdanchi.

Open Bitch (4, 1abs)

1. Rakuchin Skyes Aria. Well presented bitch in full coat. Typical head with round dark eyes and good expression, well cushioned muzzle, good earset. Fine bone with hare feet, moved soundly both ways holding a good outline.

2. Ch Jaschin First Edition. Very smart moving bitch, fine and dainty. Lovely eyes and

typical expression, eye catching outline moving in profile around the ring. Pretty head

with good pigment, well set ears with good fringing. Moving well away from me but a

tad wide in front today. 2 nice bitches.
