Richmond Championship Dog Show 2013

6th September 2013

Japanese Chin.

Judge....Linda Benton-Taylor (Sansarc)

I enjoyed my first appointment at Ch. Show level. Thank you exhibitors.

The ground was very uneven which made assessing movement difficult at times. I'm sure on a different surface. several dogs would change places. The rain came down hard at time thundering on the marquee. this spooked some dogs but luckilly, most soon rallied - an unfortunate time for our breed judging.

Some classes were hard with a lot of good quality Chin entered, some places were down to the minutest of detail.

The only down side was being told of a complaint made against one exhibitor. This is very sad.

DOGS

Puppy

1st - Mr A. Allcock. MBE and Mr D. Vincent.

YAMA JEREMY SLEEPYHOLLOW ---- BEST PUPPY.

10 month black and white well balanced puppy with a good overall shape and size. Very nice head and expression with good eyes showing white at the inner corner, good nostrills and well cushioned cheeks for age. Good neck length and lay of shoulder. Short back. Good turn of stifle. Hard to see the movement as he thought it a jolly good game going round a wet and uneven ring - Bless him.

2nd - Mrs C. Oatridge.

DALEHOUSE EMPEROR EIJI.

7 months black and white. A wee baby. With puppies this age in a clas for up to 12 months, makes me sure a minor puppy class would be more appropriate.

Another very nice puppy. Well balanced and in good coat for this age. Good expression and clear good eyes. Nicely bodied of good proportions. I feel a nice future for this baby
