I really enjoyed my day with the Chins at Peterborough & thank all the sporting exhibitors for their entry. One or two of the dogs were a little overawed on the ground but without exception everyone was happy on the table & I was most impressed with the lovely temperaments. Some really lovely youngsters present & there were several exhibits in both sexes I would have been pleased to sign a CC for.

MPD (10,2a) 1 George’s Yama I’m Kimi Amronchi, a smart well coated youngster. Good breadth of skull, nice eye & well cushioned muzzle. Good for both size & balance. Level back with good tailset. Moved soundly & his very positive hind action just gave him the edge today; 2 Rushton’s Jurojin Remember Me, another stylish puppy with a good sized head, expressive eyes & well finished muzzle. Well ribbed with good topline & tailset. Excellent coat texture. Sound on the move but not quite as steady as the winner as yet; Allcock’s Sleepyhollow Le Figaro. PD (7) 1 Jolley’s Sharlarna Tailor Made for Dekobras, a super showman as are most of this exhibitor’s dogs. Cobby & compact with a good skull, decent cushions, firm level topline & high set tail. Moves out really well with some elevation in the front. Shown in lovely coat & condition. BPD; 2 Allcock’s Sleepyhollow Mozart, less finished than the winner but elegant & very shapely with a pleasing head & good expression. Well bodied with some breadth of chest. Not quite as steady behind as the winner. Shown in excellent condition & he is a keen attentive showman; 3 Branch’s Phydeaux Blue Moon. JD (8,2) 1 Tong’s Dalehouse Elements of Elgar Jakconas, soundly constructed dog with a good sized masculine skull, large open nostrils & wide well cushioned muzzle. Good breadth of chest & cobby body. Moved well with some style; 2 Martin’s Sharlarnas Yoshi, not quite the maturity of body of the winner but he too has a most attractive head & expression. Fine boned with very typical feet. Level back & high set, well carried tail. Shown in good coat & he moves soundly with some style; 3 Robinson’s Midorchi Magnum. PGD (9,1) 1 Matches’ Godheim Imperial Wizard at Fochai, fairly large, broad skull with good sized expressive eyes. Firm well cushioned muzzle. Broad chest & good body with excellent topline& tailset. Sound & shown in lovely coat & condition; 3 Talbot’s Dalehouse Snap Dragon at Silmacs. LD (12,1) 1 Bartlett’s Pebblecombe Jinja, my first r/w of the day& I was impressed by him. He is smart & well balanced but his very good coat & the rather longish grass tended to obscure his overall outline. Pleasing head with a broad skull, & nicely cushioned well finished muzzle. Good breadth of chest, cobby with a good topline & high set tail. Moved very well both up & down. A strong contender for the CC; 2 Willis’ Dainichi Sunyano, lovely headed dog with a clean open face, well cushioned muzzle & good breadth of skull. Soundly made, he is cobby & compact with a good topline & high set tail. Sound & accurate on the move; Quinn’s Dekobras Bring Me Sunshine. OD (5,1) 1 Allcock’s Ch Sleepyhollow Raphael, masculine broad skull, well placed open nostrils & nicely cushioned muzzle. Excellent forehand with some breadth of chest & strong fine bone with typical feet. Short coupled & well bodied with a level topline & high set tail. His well presented coat is a lovely texture & he is most impressive on the move. Pleased to give the CC & BOB & I was delighted to learn that he was 2 in the very strong toy group; 2 Davidson’s Hysterical Samurai Sou at Sharlarna, a dog I have admired before& I haven’t changed my opinion of him. He has a lovely oriental expression, good skull & well cushioned muzzle. Not quite as cobby as Raphael he is well bodied with a good topline & high set tail. His silky coat is a good texture & he is sound & accurate on the move. RCC; 3 Tweedie’s Dan/Bel/Dutch/Rom Ch/Rom Gr Ch Stepheter Jack The Lad at Rysalka.

MPB (8,1) 1 Davidson’s Choya Kikuka, very appealing for both type & style, good skull, pleasing expression & good well cushioned muzzle. Good legs & feet with fine strong bone. Not a big bitch but she coped very well on the uneven ground with her sound steady action; 2 Wallhead’s Sleepyhollow Tikle My Fancy at Merida, another lovely puppy, very pretty & well marked, compactly made with first class topline& tailset. Shown in good coat & she too moved well; 3 Blair’s Stepheter Reach For The Sky at Bellflows. PB (7) 1 Allcock’s Sleepyhollow Miss Bussell, shapely elegant bitch of obvious quality& good type, well marked with a good coat. Lovely open face & expression which is enhanced by her dark melting eyes. Well bodied with some breadth of chest. She is a very good mover & I was not surprised later to learn that she already has a CC to her credit. BP; 2 Swanston’s Sangria Showtime of Pamojill, beautifully balanced & teeming with type, soundly made & moved accordingly. She has a good body & excellent topline. Pleasing head & expression, not quite as short coupled as the winner but she too is a really good prospect for the future; 3 Corrigan & Edmonson’s Shantallah Joshi.
