First of all, I would like to thank all the exhibitors for the sport man ship as I was called to judge the breed as a substitute. I hope for a speedy recovery to the original judge, Mrs D A Horan, & I hope I did justice to her fantastic entry of 144.
In general, the breed was somewhat uneven in quality, in size, in face & in the tail carriage as there was some Papillion type of tails. Then again, my winners were of excellent quality & I was really pleased with them. I want to congratulate the breeders & exhibitors, as I think the breed is in good hands. In the last round my winners, the ultimate BOB, BOS & BP were very similar in type & excellent representatives of the breed. My BOB winner moved with drive & purpose during the day, but unfortunately in the group judging she was not settled & did not show the movement. I felt sad for the bitch & her handler. It maybe would have been better to leave the main arena, as the bitch deserves to be seen doing her best.

Failed today in coat condition that was not absolutely tip-top, but another day & with better condition, she could be the winner.
